Abbas Ali

Abbas Ali is a 26-year-old Master’s degree candidate in Business Administration at Missouri Baptist University. He came to the USA from Pakistan when he was 11. He is a passionate advocate for equality and civil rights among under-represented minorities. He is also, already, a very active social entrepreneur.\n In 2011 Abbas started the annual St. Louis Jewish and Muslim Day of Service, which takes place on Christmas Day every year.\n In 2013 he and some friends started the St. Louis chapter of Project Downtown, a nationally registered non-profit organization dedicated to serving numerous resources for destitute neighborhoods. Abbas is Project Downtown\u2019s national executive director.\n Project Downtown- St. Louis has provided over 20,000 freshly made meals to the less fortunate in the community. Nationally, Mr. Ali\u2019s goal is to help establish and maintain one local chapter of Project Downtown in every state by 2025. He is currently up to 20 chapters. \n He has also organized numerous fundraisers, 5K Runs for the community, Back-To-School drives to provide school supplies to children of less fortunate families, clothing donation initiatives, and various other collections that have helped the community.
