A Muslim man who was aboard the bus that was attacked by Al-Shabab group died during surgery following a gunshot injury. Salah Farah, a teacher, was one of the Muslim passengers who helped protect Christians during the attack. When the terrorist group ordered the Muslims to separate from Christians, Farah refused. As a result, he was shot. He died during surgery to treat his gunshot wound at a hospital in the Kenyan capital Nairobi.
In an interview prior to his death, Farah reflected on the attack saying “It’s only the religion that is the difference, so I ask my brother Muslims to take care of the Christians so that the Christians also take care of us… and let us help one another and let us live together peacefully.”
